Goldrute

suit, dyed (Canada goldenrod taken from the banks of the Danube, Vienna), tarpaulin, 3 x 3 m, 2015

A second-hand suit called »Globe Trotter« is un-sewed into its component parts and dyed with handpicked Canadian goldenrods from Austria. Goldenrods are an invasive species and dye plant from Canada which spread along global trading routes. In the process of disassembling, individual traces and small errors in the mass product are revealed. The rearrangement of the parts is based on anatomical bone collections.
